Music bingo software — the night calls itself

No host, no printed cards, no arguing over whether that song played. Cards land on players' phones, the system calls songs on the clock, and a bingo only counts when every song in the line was actually called.

What it is

Music bingo dies on trust: paper cards, a host's memory, and a room that swears it heard a song that never played. Contender OS removes the argument. The venue loads a playlist of song titles, players join from their phones and are dealt a card, and the system calls the songs in a shuffled order on a timer the venue sets. A player can only mark a song that has actually been called — so when somebody claims a bingo, the system checks the line against the call list and the card, and the first verified bingo wins the night. The music itself always plays from the venue's own licensed source; the system supplies the call order and the cards, never audio.

How the night runs

STEPThe venue loads its playlistSong titles go in as plain text — 25 to 500 of them. The venue's own music source plays them; the system never ships audio.
STEPCards deal themselvesPlayers join from their phones and get a 5×5 card with a free center. Rejoining returns the same card, so a dead battery costs nothing.
STEPSongs call on the clockOnce staff start the night, the shuffled playlist calls itself every 30 seconds by default — the pace is a venue setting.
STEPThe first verified bingo winsPlayers mark called songs on their cards and claim; the system verifies the claim before it counts, and season points post at the win.

What's built in

  • Host-free timed rounds — the call order shuffles once and advances on the venue's clock; no MC needed to run the game.
  • Cards on phones — 5×5 cards dealt per player with a free center; the deal is stable, so rejoining restores the same card.
  • Verifiable claims — a song can only be marked after it has been called, and claims are checked server-side against the card and the call list.
  • Line or blackout — win patterns are a venue setting: any full row, column, or diagonal, or the whole card.
  • Season layer — wins and played-the-night points feed season standings, with a frozen finals table and champion at completion.
  • The license boundary, kept — playlists are plain-text titles; the music plays from the venue's own licensed source, always.

Who it's for

Built for bars and breweries running music bingo nights — anywhere the game currently needs a host, a printer, and a room willing to trust both.
